What is the structure of the brake master cylinder?
The master cylinder, also known as the brake master oil (gas), is mainly used to push the brake fluid (or gas) to be transmitted to each brake wheel cylinder to push the piston.
The housing of the brake master cylinder is equipped with a front cylinder piston, a rear cylinder piston, a front cylinder spring and a rear cylinder spring. The front cylinder piston is sealed with a sealing ring; The piston of the rear cylinder is sealed with a sealing ring and positioned with a retaining ring. The two fluid reservoirs are respectively connected with the front chamber and the rear chamber, and are connected with the front and rear brake wheel cylinders through their respective oil outlet valves. The front cylinder piston is pushed by the hydraulic force of the rear cylinder piston, and the rear cylinder piston is directly pushed by the push rod.
Difference between air brake and air brake
Common air brake system and cut-off air brake system have similarities, but they also have differences. There are essential differences between the parking brake. The former is the central disc brake, which is manual type, and the latter is the energy storage spring air brake, which is power type. Its energy supply device is completely different.
The parking brake of ordinary air brake can only be used when the vehicle is stationary, because its braking torque acts on the transmission shaft. If it is used when the vehicle is running, it is easy to cause serious overload of the transmission shaft and rear axle, and because the differential housing is locked, the opposite rotation direction of the left and right wheels may occur, causing the vehicle to run away or even rotate during braking.
However, the stored energy spring brake is different. On the contrary, because the parking brake stroke of the energy storage spring is greater than the active brake stroke, when the braking force is insufficient, the energy storage spring can also be used for emergency braking.
